Our Infrastructure business has seen impressive growth over the last few years working in collaboration with National Highways (formerly Highways England) and Local Authority clients across the country.
Galliford Try Infrastructure focuses on a highways offering, enhancing the portfolio with urban, multi-modal transport schemes that embrace lower carbon travel choices. It’s three business streams are National Highways, Local Authorities and Major Projects.
Our portfolio of road projects has contributed substantially to the national infrastructure network and has seen us become one of the leading players in the Infrastructure sector.
Delivery Framework for National Highways
Callum joined GT in September 2016 as a Trainee Engineer. He started on the M1 Smart Motorway Scheme Jct 19-16 and was an integral part of the Drainage Team. He was quickly made responsible for managing the day-to-day gangs on site, providing the correct setting out information, permits and RAMs.
Once that part of the M1 was completed, he moved to the next phase of the M1 Smart Motorways Scheme where he was made a Site Engineer. He worked in the initial engineering team delivering the Central Reservation works. Moving into the verge phase, he was a Site Engineer for all drainage works, footways, paved areas & accesses, Technology, and some Earthworks.
From July 2022 Callum moved into the Planning Team in Pre-construction as an Assistant Planner to build upon his knowledge and experience in how to plan, manage and sequence projects at tender stage. He has been assisting the Planning Team with Tenders such as CSLR (Carlisle Southern Link Road) & M5 Jct 10.
